Sustainable Fishing

เราจะรู้สึกอย่างไร ถ้าหากไปเที่ยวทะเลแล้ว ไม่เห็นปลาแบบนี้ขึ้นมากินขนมปังที่ผิวน้ำให้เห็นกันอีก? [Subtitle: What will we feel once we go to the sea and cannot see this kind of fish biting the bread on top of the water again?]

เราได้เวลาเดินทางขึ้นบนเกาะเพื่อไปโซ้ยข้าวกลางวันและร่วมพิธีการประกาศผลการแข่งขันกันล่ะครับ [Subtitle: It was the time that we’d get up to the island for lunch and participate in the announcing tournament reward ceremony.]

ลำที่สองนับจากซ้ายมือ คือ ลำที่ได้พาทีมของเราไปหาความสำราญกันกลางทะเล [Subtitle: The 2nd from left was the one taking our team to have fun in the sea.] 

ระหว่างที่ผมข้ามเรือที่จอดเรียงกันขึ้นบนเกาะนั้น ก็ได้ไปเจอกับเจ้าตัวนี้นอนอยู่บนเรือลำหนึ่ง ตัวใหญ่ สะดุดสายตาของผมเป็นอย่างมาก ผมคงไม่ต้องบอกน่ะครับว่านี่คือปลาอะไร มันน่าจะเป็นที่รู้จักกันอย่างแพร่หลายกันในหมู่นักตกปลาน่ะครับ ใครที่เคยตกมันแล้ว ก็คงจะประทับใจในลีลาการต่อสู้ของมันในเกมส์การตกปลาได้เป็นอย่างดี [Subtitle: During the moment I was jumping across the boats heading onto the island, I have met this one, and its size was strike my eyes so much. I don’t have to tell what kind of fish is. It’d be well known to all anglers. Ones who used to fought with it; they’d admired the way they fight in the fishing game very well.]

ตัวนี้ถูกคณะกรรมการจัดการแข่งขันแขวนไว้ให้นักตกปลาได้ยลโฉม [Subtitle: This one was hanging by the marshal for the view of anglers.]

ขอบคุณพี่สัญญา ที่ช่วยประสานงานในครั้งนี้ [Subtitle: Thanks Mr. Sanya for giving us a hand in this tournament.]  

แสงแดดดี ลมพัดสบาย น้ำทะเลใส ชายหาดสะอาด...ต้องมาที่เมืองไทย [Subtitle: Nice sunlight, windy, clear sea water and clean beach, then come and visit Thailand.]  

ขอแสดงความยินดีกับนักตกปลาที่ได้รับรางวัลต่างๆสำหรับงานในครั้งนี้ด้วยครับ [Subtitle: Congratulation for all anglers with their awards for this tournament.] 

กาลครั้งหนึ่ง เราก็เคยมาร่วมงานการแข่งขันตกปลานานาชาติอย่างยั่งยืนที่ จ. ตราด [Subtitle: Once upon a time, we were once participated in the International Sustainable Fishing at Trat province.] 

อีกหนึ่งลำดับเหตุการณ์ที่บันทึกไว้ในความทรงจำ [Subtitle: Another subsequent event to capture in memory.]

งานเลี้ยงย่อมมีวันเลิกรา [Subtitle: All good things must come to an end.] 

ไต๋คนเดิม แต่เปลี่ยนคนซ้อนท้ายเดินทางเข้าฝั่ง  [Subtitle: The same captain, but different passenger heading toward to the shore.] 

เมนูสุดโปรดก็เสริฟระหว่างการเดินทางกลับเข้าฝั่ง นั่นก็คือ Sushi กินคู่กับมิยาบิ แกล้มกับเบียร์เย็นๆ นั่งลิ้มชิมรสชาติให้เข้ากับบรรยากาศกลางทะเล ช่างเป็นเมนูที่ครบ และจบทริปลงได้อย่างสมบรูณ์แบบจริงๆ [Subtitle: The favorite menu was served during on the way back to the shore, which were Sushi goes with Miyabi (Wasabi-the green Japanese condiment) and chilled beer along with the nice good sightseeing in the middle of the sea. This trip was ended up with this cool menu completely and perfectly though.]

เมื่อเราเดินทางถึงท่าเรือ สัญญาณธรรมชาติบางอย่างเริ่มก่อตัวบนท้องฟ้า ทำให้เราต้องเร่งมือกันเก็บของขึ้นรถกันอย่างรวดเร็ว [Subtitle: Once we were at the pier, some natural sign has occurred upon the sky, and that we had rushed to pack our gears onto the pickup truck rapidly.]

ตามที่คาดการณ์ไว้ไม่มีผิด ผลลัพธ์ของสัญญาณธรรมชาติก็บังเกิดขึ้นระหว่างการเดินทางกลับ จ.ระยอง อนึ่ง เวลาที่คาดว่าจะเดินทางถึง จ.ระยอง นั้นประมาณเวลาสองทุ่มเศษ [Subtitle: As predicted, the result of such sign has shown during our way back to Rayong province. However, the estimated time reaching to Rayong province was at 20:14 pm.]

ภาพนี้...ทำให้ผมนึกถึงหนังสารคดีเรื่องหนึ่ง เป็นหนังที่เกี่ยวกับผู้คนในหมู่บ้านแห่งหนึ่งในประเทศแทปทวีปอาฟริกาที่จับปลาในหนองน้ำอันมีพื้นที่เพียงน้อยนิดและน้ำก็ไม่ใสสะอาดด้วย และปีหนึ่งทางการก็อนุญาตให้คนในหมู่บ้านสามารถจับปลาได้เพียงแค่ครั้งเดียวเท่านั้น ไม่ใช่คนทุกคนจะจับปลาได้ แต่มีเพียงคนแค่หยิบมือเดียวที่พอจับได้บ้างแต่ขนาดของตัวปลาก็เล็ก และก็คงไม่เพียงพอที่จะเลี้ยงดูคนในครอบครัวได้ทั้งหมด  เมื่อความนึกคิดได้ผ่านพ้นไป ไม่นาน ผมก็ได้ยินเสียงบอกเล่าแห่งจินตนาการ ลอยตามกระแสลม โชยมาเข้าหูผมว่า “ประเทศไทย โชคดีมากเลยน่ะ ที่ไม่มีสภาวะแบบนั้น” สิ่งที่ผมคิดภายหลังจากได้ยินคำบอกเล่าเช่นว่านั้น ก็คือ “เออซิว่ะ! คนไทยเราโชคดีกว่าพวกเขามากเลย แต่โชคดีที่ว่านี้ จะอยู่กับคนไทยเราได้นานแค่ไหนกัน?” ผมตอบเสียงบอกเล่าที่โชยมาตามลมในใจดังๆออกไปแบบนี้ [Subtitle: This photo was recalling my memory on a documentary movie. It was about the huge amount of village people in some country in Africa catching the fish in the small pond with unclear water, where the authority allows them to catch only once a year. Only a few people could catch some fishes – not all of them. And the size of the fishes was also too small – not enough to feed the need of their family members. Right after finished seeing such, I heard some imagination voice flown with the wind hit my ears that “Thailand is so lucky for not having this kind of crisis”. “Yeah! Damn right! We, Thais, have the better luck than them very much. But, how long such lucky can stay with Thais, huh?” That was my reply to the hearsay loud and clear in my mind.]

มันถึงเวลาแล้วหรือยัง ที่เราต้อง “ปลูกจิตสำนึก” ในเรื่อง “การตกปลาอย่างยั่งยืน” ในบ้านเมืองของเรา? [Subtitle: Is it the time that we must have “awareness” regarding the “sustainable fishing”? in our homeland.] 

ผมเห็นสัญลักษณ์รณรงค์การปลดปล่อยปลาตัวเล็กๆ นี้ติดที่หลังเสื้อกั๋กของนักตกปลาอาวุโสท่านหนึ่ง ผมก็เอ่ยปากขออนุญาตนักตกปลาท่านนั้นเป็นภาษาไทย  เพื่อขอเก็บภาพแห่งความคิดในการรณรงค์นี้มาแบ่งปันกัน...แต่ผมไม่ได้ยินเสียงตอบรับแต่อย่างใดจากท่านนั้น คงมีเพียง “ภาษากาย” ที่ท่านได้กรุณาหยิบยื่นให้ผม นั่นคือ “รอยยิ้ม” พร้อมกับยืนนิ่งๆ ให้ผมได้เก็บภาพได้อย่างจุใจ หลังจากนั้นขณะเดินทางกลับเข้าฝั่ง ผมก็หวนกลับมาก็มาคิดว่า สงสัยท่านนักตกปลาอาวุโสท่านนั้น อาจจะไม่ใช่คนไทยก็เป็นได้ ไม่เช่นนั้นแล้วท่านอาจจะตอบผมเป็นภาษาไทยมากว่าภาษากายน่ะ...แล้วอะไรที่ทำให้ภาษาไม่ใช่อุปสรรคในการสื่อสารแต่อย่างใด “หากไม่ใช่การใส่ใจในเจตนารมณ์ร่วมกัน” ผมต้องขอขอบคุณท่านนักตกปลาอาวุโสท่านนั้น ณ ที่นี้ด้วยน่ะครับ [Subtitle: I saw the lease small fishes campaign sign stick at the backside of the vest of a senior angler. I asked the permission from him in Thai to capture this campaign idea to share with you guys, but I didn’t hear any sound of responding from him at all. Only his “body language” replied me by “smiling at me” and stood still for me capturing this shot as many as I wanted to. During on the way back to shore, I was thinking that he might not be a Thai, unless he would have reply me in Thai rather than other ways of responding. Well, what was made the language no longer be the communication barrier? “If not, the same co-objective”. Thank you very much to that senior angler here at this post.]

...แม้มีเพียงหนึ่งคน ที่ลงมือทำ “ความยั่งยืน” ก็อาจจะเกิดได้ (แม้นว่าจะช้ากว่าหลายร้อยคนช่วยกันลงมือทำก็ตาม) [Subtitle: Even a single man undertakes his action, the “sustainable” maybe occurred (But, of course, it’s slower than a hundred men undertake it together in the meantime.] 

หากคนเรายังคิดเล็กคิดน้อย ไม่เปิดความคิดให้กว้างไกล หนทางก็คงยังอีกยาวไกล ที่จะ “ก้าวไปในระดับสากล” ท่านผู้รู้ที่เคารพท่านหนึ่งได้กล่าวไว้ [Subtitle: If the man is still having a narrow-minded or no think global-act local, it’s still a very long way to step onto the International level. Said, a respectful guru.]
