ระหว่างที่รอเจ้าโด่ง ทำพิธีการ Logistic กับ “อาหารที่ผ่านการย่อยในลำไส้” อยู่นั้น ผมก็ขอถ่ายรูปอุปกรณ์ที่เราจะต้องใช้สำหรับจับเชลยในวันนี้กัน (วันนี้ช่วงเช้า เราจะไปตกปลาน้ำจืดกัน ส่วนช่วงบ่าย เราย้ายไปตกปลาทะเลกันครับ) [Subtitle: While awaiting for Dong manages the logistic protocol with the “digested foods in his gut”, I’d rather take photo of the gears, which we shall use it to catch the slave today. เจ้าถิ่นบอกว่า ทุกๆวันที่เขาออกไปส่งลูกๆ ไปโรงเรียนแล้ว เขาก็มักจะมองหาผืนน้ำในหน้าจอ GPS อยู่ตลอด ว่างๆ ก็จะหาโอกาสแวะไปเยี่ยมเยียนอยู่เสมอ และวันนี้ เขาจะพาผมไปหมายที่เขาเคยบันทึกเอาไว้ (พร้อมกับรอยยิ้มเล็กๆ ที่มุมปาก เสมือนจะสื่อสารว่า วันนี้จะพาว่าที่เชลยจากเมืองไทยออกไปเชือด...ว่างั้น) หึหึ...ชักมีหนาวแล้ววุ้ยตู [Subtitle: The local said that after he sends kids to school, he usually likes to look for the water spots in the GPS. ไม่นานเกินรอ เจ้าถิ่นก็พาผมมาถึงทุ่งสังหาร และก็ไม่รีรอที่จะเข้าไปตระเตรียมเหยื่อล่อลวงให้แมงเม่าบินเข้ากองไฟ ยังไงยังงั้น [Subtitle: No for long, the local took me to the kill field, and he is not hesitate to lure the mayfly into the bonfire right away.]

ว่าแล้ว ผมก็ต้องประกอบเหยื่อตาม เพียงแต่ไม่ได้ซ่อนตัวเบ็ดให้มิดในตัวเหยื่อเท่านั้น ไม่เป็นไร ลองดู [Subtitle: It’s my turn to knot my lure as example, but I left the eye of the hook outside the lure. Let’s try, huh?]
จากมุมในพงต้นไม้ ก็ย้ายมามุม ณ ริมถนน เพียงไม่กี่ไม้ เจ้าถิ่นก็ได้วัดปลาเป็นคนแรก...แต่...ช่างน่าเสียดาย...สายมันขาด! อะแฮ่ม! ไม่มีปลาขึ้นมาถ่ายรูป ไม่นับนะไอ้เพื่อนเกลอเอ๋ย [Subtitle: We move from the bush to the road side. เจ้าตัวน้อยตัวนี้ มันคงได้ยินเสียงบ่นพึมๆ พัมๆ ว่าใครตกปลายังไงให้สายขาด คงจะบ่นเสียงดังไปนิด มันก็เลยว่ายออกมาจากที่ซ่อนตัวดูหน้าดูตาคนทำสายขาดละมั้ง? ก็ไม่รู้ซิน่ะ! ไม่น่าเชื่อว่าธรรมชาติที่นี่ สามารถดำเนินเคียงคู่กับสังคมเมืองได้เป็นอย่างดี นี่เป็นเพราะการบังคับใช้กฎหมาย หรือ จิตสำนึก หรือ อะไรอื่นใด ซึ่งผมอยากจะรู้ซะเหลือเกิน ผมอยากให้เมืองไทยเป็นแบบนี้จัง [Subtitle: It’s incredible that the nature here can accompany with the urban society very well. ปลาตัวแรกหลุดไปแล้ว หมายนี้ก็เงียบ เราก็ตัดสินใจเดินย้อนกลับมาซ้ำรอยเดิมกันดีกว่า [Subtitle: Our first fish was unhooked, and this spot was quite. We decided to walk back to where we begin.]

เนื่องจากการที่ว่า ผมไม่เคยใช้เหยื่อตัวนี้เลย ก็เลยขอลองทดสอบดูลีลาการเต้นยั่วยวนของเหยื่อตัวนี้ซักหน่อย กระตุกท่านี้ มันจะเต้นยังไง แล้วถ้ากระตุกถี่ๆ มันจะเต้นยังไง ก็ลองกันไป [Subtitle: Since I have never used this kind of lure before, I’d rather test the way its dances. How the lure will be if I jerk in this or that ways? Let try then!]
ไม่นานนักที่โด่งได้เอื้อยเอ่ยปากออกมาว่า ถึงตาเขาที่ต้องเป็นตากล้องกันบ้างล่ะเท่านั้น ผมก็เริ่มรู้สึกถึงแรงดึง และสายก็เริ่มถูกดึงออกไป ว่าแล้ว ไหนลองวัดดูซิ [Subtitle: A while right after Dong said that it’s his turn to be the cameraman, I got the tight feeling of the line, and it was pulling out. ผมค่อยๆ ประคอง สิ่งเล็กๆ ที่เรียกว่าสาย PE ที่ทำหน้าที่ รักษาความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างผมกับเจ้าตัวใต้น้ำนั้น มิให้ขาดสะบั้นลง แต่ในขณะเดียวกัน ผมก็ได้เรียนรู้อุปนิสัยใจคอของมัน ที่ได้แสดงออกมา เป็นตัวตนที่แท้จริง ก่อนที่มันจะถูกจับเป็นเชลยขึ้นมาถ่ายรูป หลายๆครั้งที่ผมใช้กีฬาเป็นเครื่องมือในการอ่านคน และก็มักจะไม่ผิดเพื้ยน สปิริต (Spirit) เป็นคำพูดที่สวยหรู ใครๆ ก็รู้จักและหยิบยกขึ้นมาพูด แต่จะมีซักกี่คนที่“ลงมือทำ”ให้มันเกิดเป็นจิตวิญญาณขึ้นมาได้จริง [Subtitle: I gently supported the little thing so called the PE Line securing relationship between I, myself, and the thing underwater – not to let it cut off.
